The Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO) continues to empower Singapore’s migrant worker community through education and practical training with the launch of the HeroCODE Safety Awareness Course. Conducted in partnership with Fusion Safety’s HeroCODE and Life Centre Community Services’ Migrant I-Care, the programme aims to equip workers with essential workplace and personal safety knowledge, helping them build safer environments for themselves and their peers.
Launched in March 2025 at the Sembawang Recreation Centre, the weekly Sunday sessions have been met with strong enthusiasm from participants eager to enhance their awareness and readiness. The inaugural batch marked a significant milestone in AGWO’s ongoing efforts to support the holistic well-being of migrant workers—this time by focusing on safety education and prevention.
Through interactive lessons, demonstrations, and discussions, the HeroCODE course helps participants understand key safety protocols, identify potential hazards, and respond effectively in emergencies. The initiative not only imparts valuable knowledge but also builds confidence, instilling in workers a sense of pride and responsibility as “safety heroes” in their workplaces and dormitories.
The collaboration between AGWO, Fusion Safety, and Life Centre Community Services reflects a shared vision of empowering migrant workers with practical life skills that promote dignity, self-sufficiency, and community care. By fostering a culture of safety and responsibility, the HeroCODE Safety Awareness Course continues AGWO’s mission of uplifting and equipping workers to protect themselves and those around them.
