The Alphabet Project
The Alphabet Project (TAP) is a movement of Hope Initiative Alliance that provides holistic care for children aged 7 to 12 from less privileged families. This includes literacy programmes, sports, enrichment and recreation activities and other social engagements.
Beyond welfare support, TAP also intends to become a platform to build the confidence of these children and foster them with connections that uplift them.

Child Mental Wellness Programmes
Through The Alphabet Project, the Hope Initiative Alliance aims to reach 1,000 or more children from low-income families every year.
Skills Development and Education
We advance childhood education by hosting weekly lessons, storytelling programmes, KidsRead Programme in partnership with NLB, and utilising other in-house or partner materials.
Sports and Wellness
We encourage active play and health through organized games and telematches.
Social Cohesion and Integration
We connect children and families through year-end carnivals, movie nights, family bonding trips, and Iftar meals.
Social Welfare and Assistance
We uplift low-income families by distributing essential welfare supplies, bursaries, and targeted social aid.
TAP Clubs
TAP National Storytelling Competition
The National Storytelling Competition provides young children with a platform to express themselves and build their public speaking and reading confidence. The inaugural competition commenced in July 2025 under the theme "Once Upon a Fairytale," culminating in a celebratory community carnival on 12 September 2025 at Bedok Community Club.
